Community involvement is very important to us both locally and globally. We strive to give back to our local community
as often as possible. Prior to moving to Evergreen, we were volunteers at The Colorado Humane Society and we offered
therapy dog visits at a local assisted living facility. We are looking forward to all the new volunteer and giving back
opportunities that will be possible here in the foothills!

Colorado Horse care Food bank™ is a nonprofit foundation developed to address the growing challenge associated with feeding Colorado
horses whose owners have been impacted by the current economic environment. Horse owners face dire circumstances when they can no
longer afford to buy food for their beloved animals and are taking desperate measures – abandoning horses and letting them forage for food
or cutting back food to near starvation levels.
Colorado’s rescue facilities are at capacity and the reports to humane societies are at the highest levels ever. Colorado Horse care Food bank
was formed to keep people and their horses together during these difficult times, by providing food grants and locating facilities that can
provide interim help during this crisis.
The Intermountain Humane Society is committed to promoting a life long bond between people and their pets and providing care for animals
in need. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization first organized in 1982. Since that time, IMHS has found new homes for over 5000
animals in the area of Park and Southwest Jefferson Counties, Colorado.
EAPL is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to providing aid to lost, abandoned and suffering animals through rescue, shelter and
education. Since our inception in April 1981, we have provided a better life for thousands of animals.
World Vets is a non-government organization (NGO) providing veterinary aid around the globe in collaboration with animal advocacy
groups, foreign governments, US and foreign military groups and veterinary professionals abroad. Our work spans 17 countries and 6
continents and addresses not only veterinary issues, but also human health issues impacted by zoonotic diseases in developing countries.
World Vets is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
We are in the process of having our dog, Italy, certified as a therapy dog.

Every year, hurricanes, tornadoes, hazardous-materials incidents, floods, earthquakes and
other disasters threaten the animals who are so important to our lives. Members of The
HSUS National Disaster Animal Response Team (NDART™) learn how to prepare their
families, help their community be better prepared and rescue and shelter animals when a
disaster or crisis happens in their community or across the country.
